Somehow about 70% of Oman Collective Intelligence's readers are women so this post is dedicated to them. Below you'll find some articles and posts  i have collected from various sites and blogs written by women and meant to be of help for women on social media.

All focusing on social media, some of them will tell you how to get your message out to the media as well as directly to your audiences, while others will give you stats such as women are 3 times less likely to care about the size of their network than men. Women spend 30% more time on social web than men
A global report from digital market measurement company comScore, found that social networking sites reach a higher percentage of women than men, with 76% of women visiting a social networking site versus 70% of men. Women spend significantly more time on social networking sites than men, with women averaging 5.5 hours per month compared to men’s four hours, demonstrating the strong engagement that women across the globe share with social sites. One third of young women check Facebook when they first wake up
One third of women aged 18 to 34 check Facebook when they first wake up, before even going to the toilet, according to new research.Young women are becoming increasingly addicted and dependent upon social networks according to a study conducted by Oxygen Media and Lightspeed Research.The study polled the habits of 1,605 adults using social media between May and June 2010 in an effort to chart behavioural trends.     Anyway, these are true facts! And women do love to share!

    Oh this is something I really hate about men. You share lots of things with them and they share nothing. They can be so cold!!!

  4. I only blog. No facebook or anything else. But what I know is this...the Internet has opened up the world for me, I've learnt so much from both women and men. Mostly women though.

  5. Seems like people either love or hate Facebook, no one is in between...or maybe i am. Josh; it might not be very accurate but i counted followers, subscribers and checked all comments, which took me a while, and i came up with that figure.
