Here follow a few tips and tricks some of you might find useful or fun:
You want to have a unique name for your page, right? Usually Facebook URLs are long and ugly and by creating your unique URL, often called vanity URL, you’ll be sure people can remember your page’s name.
Usually the URL is something like www.facebook.com/pages/yourbusiness/4387598w759w. I easily changed mine into www.facebook.com/Oman.Intel. All you have to do is go here. Before choosing a username for your business page, you must choose a username for your personal profile. Your page must have at least 25 fans to establish a vanity URL. Remember, once you’ve chosen a name you won’t be able to change it, so make sure you get the right one.
If you want to search for more than one person in the same search you can do so by entering a pipe in between each name; for example Al Bino| Cara Van . You then see both the results in the same search engine result page.
If you want to write upside down or "soɯǝʇɥıuƃ lıʞǝ ʇɥıs" then go to http://www.upsidedowntext.com/. There’s also another option which can be changed in the language settings but be careful as it’ll make the whole text of the page upside down! A cool and fun option, again in the language settings, is English Pirate, give it a try.
You would think that Facebook might have an option for suggesting a group or page to all of your friends, but it doesn’t. Here’s how you do it:
1. Clink on the suggest/invite link on the side of a group or page
2. When you’re presented with the option to select your friends one by one, paste this code in red into the address bar of your browser and replace 25 with the number of friends you have:
javascript:elms=document.getElementById('friends').getElementsByTagName('li'); for(var fid in elms){if(typeof elms[fid] === 'object'){fs.click(elms[fid]);}if (fid == 25){break;}}
3. This has now selected all your friends and you can just click send.
If you want to mention someone in a status update just type "@" in the status bar and start typing their name as it appears on Facebook. An auto-generated list will then come up with people in your social circle whose name starts with the letters you’ve typed. Hit the name you want, complete the update, click share and the name will become a hyperlink (you won’t see the @ symbol) and will appear in blue text.
To make your status updates more interesting by inserting cool symbols check out this list where you can copy and paste them in your status updates.
Last one for today, I mentioned this already sometime ago, take a look at this Facebook page as it is probably one of the best ever http://facebook.com/profile.php?=73322363
