How many
billboards or adverts do you notice while walking or driving? How many of them
shock you or inspire you?
Sadly not very
often I come across really cool hoardings; last creative one I can recall is
the one from Nando’s sometime back.
So what makes a
great billboard then? A billboard should be informative, graphic-oriented, eye-catchy,
possibly interactive and most importantly, creative.
If renovating or building a new shop, your hoarding not only
protects the unit but it can also be a powerful advertising tool for promoting
your business, as it can establish brand awareness and brand image by reaching
to a large number of potential customers. A huge marketing
opportunity which not many people around seem to take advantage of.
This is Totem’s
stylish hoarding in Muscat Grand Mall for the new branch soon to be opened. I like the design as it is very unique, creative and very much in line with the brand.
Looking at it
closely you can see several small lift-up boards between the mirrors...
...and each one of them delivers a clear message:
The tale of Totem; telling people what the brand is all about.
The products people will find in the store.
Photos of Totem’s loyal customers (showing your brand 'aficionados' is always a great idea!)
There are a few other boards and one you should not miss out is 'Bargain Inside'; it's a surprise...go and check it out yourself as I don't want to spoil it ;)
